Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a program for people who have COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), emphysema, asthma or other serious lung conditions. It is a multidisciplinary approach to chronic lung disease management using exercise and education to improve quality of life.
The program includes:
• an initial assessment with a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• supervised exercise sessions and education by respiratory therapists, nurses
and exercise physiologists.
